Thanks to David & Michael, I just went ahead and placed an order for a DVR Expander from TiVo’s dieing rewards program. After I added the DVR Expander to my cart I ended up having 6500 points to spare so, I went ahead and ordered a couple of items which I will be giving away on this site…..

Thanks to an individual by the name of Rodney, I’m now only two referrals away from getting a My DVR Expander. I normally don’t beg for points however, I really would love to get one of these drives and with the program ending soon I don’t have a lot of time. Unless you’re a geek like me, you probably didn’t know that TiVo.com has a section on their website where you can download wallpaper for your computer. My personal favorite is this one however, I also think this one is kind of neat. Go ahead and decorate your computer with some TiVo wallpaper. After all, what else do you have to do?

I finally got around to setting up my brand new TiVo HD which I received via the rewards program. I currently have it connected to a standard def TV however, I plan on getting an HDTV for the back room sometime in the near future. Here’s some pictures that I took during the unboxing process…
Earlier today, TiVo went ahead and published a priority page for the 9.3 software release. If you own a Series 2 TiVo, you might want to head on over to the page and sign up. This release is supposed to speed up the TiVo interface including a 5-10 second improvement during the season pass creation process.
This priority list is for TiVo Series2 Digital Video Recorders only!
DIRECTV DVRs with TiVo and TiVo Series1 DVRs are not eligible for this update. If you have a Series3 or TiVo HD DVR, they will receive the Spring update automatically in the near future.Only DVRs with TiVo Service Numbers beginning with the following numbers are eligible for this software:
110, 130, 140, 230, 240, 264, 275, 540, 542, 565, 590, 595, and 649.

TiVo.com has extended their $199.99 TiVo HD deal which I previously blogged about back in Feburary. The deal was supposed to have expired yesterday however, due to its popularity TiVo has decided to extend the offer until July 2nd!
This is definitely a good offer if you are in the market for a TiVo HD. Amazon currently has the same DVR listed for $227.28
