Nickelodeon Now On TiVoCast

Update (12/05/2007):  I don’t know how I missed it but, Nickelodeon has actually been available since October of this year.  Sorry about that……

TiVo seems to be adding new TiVoCast content on a weekly basis. This time around, they’ve added Nickelodeon as a TiVoCast channel.

You can subscribe to Nickelodeon via TiVoCentral online or by accessing the following menu item on your TiVo: TiVo Central -> Find Programs -> Download TV & Movies -> Nickelodeon.

Thanks for the tip Alex!

Quilters TV Now On TiVoCast

Quilters TV LogoEarlier today, Stephen Mack (Director of TiVoCast operations) announced that Quilters TV has been added to TiVo’s growing list of TiVoCast content. You can subscribe to this program either by heading on over to TiVo Central Online or by accessing the following menu item on your TiVo: TiVo Central -> Find Programs -> Download TV & Movies (we still need a better way to organize all of the TiVoCast programs).

Even though Quilters TV isn’t my kind of program, I’m happy to see that TiVo continues to add new content. Now if only we could get some Videocasts from Revision3. How about Tekzilla?

Ultra KawaiiEarlier today, Stephen Mack (director of TiVoCast operations) announced that TiVo has added Ultra Kawaii to their TiVoCast lineup. Ultra Kawaii’s moto is as follows:

Ultra Kawaii hasn’t peeked my interest however, I am happy that TiVo continues to add additional content to the TiVoCast service. I personally would like to see some Revision3 shows on TiVoCast. What do you think Stephen? Can you make that happen?

Is PodShow Content Coming To TiVoCast?

PodShow On TiVoCastOn 9/13 TiVoLovers stumbled upon a page over at podshow.com which all but confirms that PodShow content is coming to TiVoCast. Then on Friday of last week, Techcrunch posted an article in which they stated that PodShow has plans to announce a partnership with TiVo on or before the upcoming PodCast and New Media Expo.

Both of these posts have me convinced that PodShow content is in fact coming to TiVoCast. I’m really looking forward to this since I already subscribe to several PodShow podcasts on my iPod. Stay tuned for more information. Hopefully we’ll here something before the end of the week….

Thanks to both Rob & Ken for sending this in as a tip.

TiVo Adds Four New TiVo Cast Channels (Bleacher Bloggers, Weather Channel, Bride-O-Rama & Viropop)

Just a little while ago, Stephen Mack announced that TiVo has added four new channels (Bleacher Bloggers, Weather Channel, Bride-O-Rama & Viropop) to their growing list of TiVoCast content.

  • The Weather Channel — Twice each day, available for five different regions (National, Northeast, Midwest, Southern, and Western) you can now get an up-to-date weather report downloaded directly to your DVR.
  • Bride-o-Rama — “The first network of I Do’s and Don’ts for brides” with new episodes each Monday and Thursday.
  • Viropop — “The first network to treat the new environmental pop culture with a sense of irreverent fun” with new episodes every Wednesday.
  • Bleacher Bloggers — a network that brings all your bragging, belly-aching and blogtificating together in one place. Sports commentary every Tuesday and Friday.

As always, you can subscribe to these new shows by heading on over to TiVo’s website or by accessing the following menu on your DVR: TiVo Central –> Find Programs –> Download TV & Movies.

In my opinion, TiVo needs todo something about how they organize their TiVoCast channels. Now that there are 21 TiVoCast channels available, TiVo might want to consider organizing the channels into several categories so that it makes it easier to find what you are looking for.

In any case, I’m really excited by the fact that TiVo contines to add new TiVoCast channels. I think that I am going to subscribe to Bleacher Bloggers and the Weather Channel. How about you?

CBS Sports’ “The Endzone” Now Available On TiVoCast

The program is already available on TiVo central or via the following menu item on your TiVo: TiVo Central –> Find Programs –> Download TV & Movies –> CBS Sports.

It really is great to see TiVo add some more “mainstream” content to TiVoCast. I’m definitely going to subscribe to The Endzone and I look forward to seeing what programs TiVo might add in the future.
