Thanks to David & Michael, I just went ahead and placed an order for a DVR Expander from TiVo’s dieing rewards program. After I added the DVR Expander to my cart I ended up having 6500 points to spare so, I went ahead and ordered a couple of items which I will be giving away on this site…..

Thanks to an individual by the name of Rodney, I’m now only two referrals away from getting a My DVR Expander. GizmoLovers.com has alerted me to the fact that TiVo recently released TiVo Desktop 2.6.1. According to TiVoPony, 2.6.1 includes an improved recovery mechanism for when PC to TiVo video transfers get interrupted:

It has improved recovery from interrupted transfers between the PC and DVR, but it also provides an updated Windows Certificate for TiVo Desktop. The certificate used in prior versions of TiVo Desktop is about to expire, so you’ll want to get 2.6.1. Without this certificate update it will not be possible to manually transfer programs from your PC to your TiVo DVR (all other Desktop functionality should continue to work fine however).

I know I haven’t said a whole lot about 2.6 however, I’ve been extremely happy with 2.6 and the fact that it allows me to watch my most favorite video podcasts directly on my TV. I plan on posting up a complete review of TiVo Desktop 2.6 sometime in the near future. In the meantime, you might want to go ahead and download 2.6.1. I know I’m going to….

Unless you’re a geek like me, you probably didn’t know that TiVo.com has a section on their website where you can download wallpaper for your computer. My personal favorite is this one however, I also think this one is kind of neat. Go ahead and decorate your computer with some TiVo wallpaper. After all, what else do you have to do?
