I was just poking around on TiVo.com looking for information about the TiVo Premiere when I discovered that TiVo has gone ahead and reinstated their official TiVo blog. Hopefully this time around, TiVo will put a lot of effort into the blog and provide us with some great information and discussion. Welcome BACK [...] Dave Zatz alerted me to the fact that TiVo seems to have taken down the “official” TiVo blog (http://blog.tivo.com). In my opinion, this is a lost opportunity for TiVo Inc. Corporate blogs are great way for a company to communicate with their users. The official TiVo blog could have been a big [...] DVRUprade has decided to bring their blog back to life. I know from personal experience how hard it can be to update a blog on a regular basis (personal site). Hopefully DVRUpgrade continues to post content to their blog. I look forward to reading what they have to say. In my [...] Hey TiVo! Do you need a blogger to help out with your lame blog? Spotted on TiVoLovers. I know I’ve blogged about this before but I can’t help mention the fact that the “official” TiVo blog hasn’t been updated since August! In my opinion, the only thing worse then not having a blog is having one that isn’t updated regularly. Come on TiVo, update the blog and let us know [...] It’s been seven days since TiVo released the Series 3 TiVo and the “official” TiVo Blog hasn’t even said a word about it. In fact, the blog hasn’t been updated since August 18th! What’s up with that? Believe it or not, there are a lot of people who read this blog. [...] The official TiVo blog has posted an interesting discussion with their shipping and events coordinator (Greg-O). In the post, Greg does a nice job describing the shipping department and what he does on a daily basis. Check it out if you ever wondered what it was like to be a TiVo employee…. Back in September of 05 TiVo announced that they were looking for somebody who could represent the company as a TiVo ambassador. Just today TiVo announced Matt Ward of San Diego was selected to be the ambassador. Matt has already started blogging on the official TiVo blog. Today’s interview is with Amir who manages the strategy and roadmap for TiVoToGo, Online Services, and the core DVR features. Check out the interview if you haven’t already. It’s worth your time…… Thomas Hawk has put together an interesting commentary about the official TiVo Blog. I’m not going to comment on it because I don’t want to piss any TiVo people off any more then I already have. In any case, head on over to Thomas’ site for a witty rant. |
