Holiday Guru Guides Now Available On TiVo Central Online

TiVoShanan just alerted me to the fact that TiVo has added a number of Holiday Guru Guides to TiVo Central Online. These guides will allow you to schedule a recording for many of the best Holiday shows with just one click.  Currently, there are four Guru Guides available:

Right now, I am blogging this from my iPod touch so, I am not able to link to the guides or TiVoShanan’s post on TC. I’ll update this post tomorrow morning with these links. I need to get to bed since my son will probably be up in five short hours. Sorry for an incomplete post. Check back tommorow if you don’t want to find the guides on your own.

AFI Top 100 TiVo Guru Guide

AFI Top 100 MoviesRemember back in Aug ‘06 when I published a post which contained TiVo Central Online links that would allow you to record the top 100 movies according to the AFI?

Well, late last week I noticed that TiVo now has a Guru Guide which makes the process of scheduling the top 100 movies even easier. In a little over a week my Series 3 has already recorded six of the top 100 movies.

If you’re interested in recording the top 100 movies you may want to check out TiVo’s AFI Top 100 GuruGuide. It sure is a lot easier then having to setup a Wishlist for 100 movies.

How To Find New Shows For Your TiVo?

Series 3 TiVo RemoteIf you’re at all like me, you’re always looking for new shows to record on your TiVo. Thankfully, TiVo Central Online has you covered. On a weekly basis, TCO publishes a list of the 25 most recorded shows. If you don’t find any new shows in the top 25 list, you might want to take a look at the Guru Guides. In case you don’t know what the Guru Guides are, here’s a description take directly from the Guru Guides webpage:

- Guru Guide™ Recommendations are lists of the best television programs, hand selected by experts in categories you care about.
- Guru Guide™ Recommendations automatically record show suggestions. Recommendations are updated over time, so you’re always sure to record fresh programming.
- Guru Guide™ Recommendations are sent to your DVR at low priority, so they won’t conflict with your existing Season Pass™ Recordings. These recommendations typically record between 2 and 5 hours of programming per week.

How do you find additional content to record? Do you use another website or do you pretty much stick with TCO?
