TiVo HD Out Of Stock, Is A New DVR On The Way?

Several sites have reported that TiVo.com has the TiVo HD listed as out of stock.  Could this mean that TiVo is about to release the TiVo Premiere that was previously leaked back in December?  Stay tuned for more news and information.  This could get interesting…

    I was at Best Buy yesterday intending to look at TIVO HD DVRs and was told they were out of stock because a new model was being released at the end of the month.

    Noticed last weekend that my local Costco had a pallet full after not carrying them for the past year and a half. Wonder if Tivo’s offloading stock with them.

    I have a feeling this is going to be a big yawn/letdown. If TiVo was close to releasing a new product they would have shown it off at CES a month ago. Anything they are going to release this close to CES is likely to be a cost reduced version of the current boring Series-3.

      One thing to keep in mind is the fact that TiVo hosted private meetings during CES. My understanding is that these meetings were held under NDA. One possibility is that they weren’t ready at CES but they are now (or at the end of this month?). This is obvioulsy just pure speculation.

    Well, Amazon seems to have them available for overnight or 2nd day delivery, so I don’t think stock levels are low quite yet.
