Besides, I thought you all would be interested to know when you can get a deal on TiVo hardware. Sorry I offended you however, I’m just trying to provide whatever news/information that is out there. Sometimes it’s hard to create news when there is none to report on.

For anybody who already owns a TiVo, this offer isn’t nearly as good!
Why? Because TiVo won’t combine this with their Multi-Service Discount!
So you can save $100 up front on a used refurbed unit, but you have to pay the full $12.99 a month in service instead of $9.99 per month. So every year you have to give back $36 from your discount. Would you eventually qualify for MSD? I don’t know. If not, or you forgot to ask every year, after year 3 you are now paying more than without the promotion. And if you were thinking of Lifetime service, your discount is completely gone.

Actually, thanks for publishing the deals. I didn’t take advantage of the Tivo Upgrade post, but it made me do some looking. Came across a good deal at Sears clearancing the Tivo HD, also got a clearance Extender from Best Buy. I wouldn’t have gotten these if you hadn’t mentioned there were deals to be had.
