Earlier today I tweeted that I had purchased the much anticipated iPhone application known as: SlingPlayer Mobile ($29.99, iTunes link). Why am I blogging about an iPhone app on this site you might ask? Well, SlingPlayer Mobile provides an excellent way for you to control and watch the contents of your Slingbox connected TiVo DVR from any Wi-Fi connection. In fact, I downloaded the app while I was at a coffee shop and within minutes I was able to watch the contents of my TiVo DVR! While there are some issues with this application, I’m extremely pleased with the fact that I can now control my TiVo from any Wi-Fi connection. I definitely would like to see the video quality improve and it sure would be nice if the app didn’t cost so much. Is there a TiVo button in the SlingPlayer for iPhone? I have been searching for it, but I can’t find it! Thanks, -phillip
