Earlier today, I stumbled upon a new program for my Mac which pretty much makes my pyTiVo install guide obsolete. The program is called pyTiVoX and it allows you to run pyTiVo on a Mac without having to go through all the hoops that I outlined in my install guide.
I’ve got it up and running on my Mac however, I’ve been having a couple of issues. Because of this, I can’t yet recommend it to everybody. Also, the fact that it doesn’t incorporate the web admin is kind of a bummer. That being said, the developer seems to be working like crazy to get these issues fixed.
If your a Mac user, you are definetly going to want to keep your eyes on this program. Once all the bugs are ironed out, pyTiVoX will allow you to install pyTiVo in a few short minutes!

I’d recommend installing pyTiVo under Windows. Checkout these instructions and let me know if you need help.
