Introducing DVRPics (iPhone Pics On Your TiVo)
TiVoCommunity recently introduced me to a neat little iPhone app which allows your TiVo to display photos that are stored on your iPhone/iPod touch. The application is called DVRPics and it is available for 99 cents via the iTunes AppStore (opens in iTunes).
DVRPics doesn’t have a lot of features however, the features that it does have work well. Basically all you have to do is select a photo on your iPhone that you would like to view on your TiVo. Once a photo is selected, head on over to your TiVo and access the following menu: Music Photos, Products & More —>Photos on “Your iPhone/iPod Touch”.
Take a look at the following screenshots and let me know what you think about this app. I think it’s a fun app especially for 99 cents…..

Hi, I’m the developer of DVRPics. Thanks for trying it out. I plan to add some features soon, particularly the ability to make slideshows in advance. Apple unfortunately does not allow direct access to the photo library which is why DVRPics can’t just make all your photos available to the DVR at once.
@Chris,
Thanks again for this app. Being able to select multiple pics would be great. In fact, this is my biggest complaint with the current version of DVRPics.
[...] It’s not going to change the world of iPhone apps or TiVo forever, but the $1 DVRPics app is a neat, cheap, little addition to the Apple App Store library nevertheless. The purpose is pretty straightforward: The app displays the photos on your iPhone or iPod touch on your TiVo. Features are bare bones for now, notes TiVo Blog, but the apps’s developer, Chris Lundie, wants us to know that the ability to make slideshows in advance is coming. Also, Lundie notes that Apple’s draconian practices do not allow direct access to the photo library. This is the reason why DVRPics can’t make all your photos available to the DVR at once, he said.
