Earlier today, TiVo released TiVo Desktop version 2.6.2 for Windows (when are we going to see a Mac update?). According to the release notes, this update includes mainly bug fixes. I went ahead and upgraded to this latest version without any problems.

Won’t install on Windows2000
System requirements:
* A PC running Microsoft® Windows®XP Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista.
* 500 MHz processor
* 256 MB RAM
* 5 GB free disk space

This is not a new requirement. According to the 2.6 installer,
“Your computer must also meet the following software requirements:
TiVo Desktop requires Windows Vista or Windows XP, with Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later.”
