I got an email about this last night, and seriously, is this a deal? I went to tivo.com to do the math, and a lifetime + tivo HD is around $698. Is it the plush and the wireless that makes it a deal? OK, TIVO, wake me up when there’s something to announce….
I think it is the fact that they are making the Lifetime subscription available again. Didn’t they stop that?
Nothing to see here, I agree… interesting that TiVo is again offering Lifetime, but for $500 on top of the $199 for the box, no way is it worth it. You’d have to wait 4 years — and commit to your cable company for 4 years — and hope your machine does not break for it to be worth it.
