Engadget HD: Comcast TiVo Screenshots
EngadgetHD has published forty six screenshots of the Comcast TiVo. In my opinion, the Comcast TiVo interface looks great! In fact, in some cases I like it better than how the interface looks on a “regular” TiVo DVR. I especially like how the software displays a small thumbnail of the station that you are currently watching while in the guide view. This is one feature that I wish my Series 3 had…

Wait until you see it in person.
No animations, it’s all static. Though it could be a hardware limitation, not a TiVo OCAP limitation. I always wanted a PIP kind of feature when in the menus, but I’m not sure I like how it’s integrated - especially with the two different sizes. I wonder when those ads they promised will show up…

The interface is nice, I actually wish I could disable the PIP thing. I don’t want to continue to watch shows while I’m in the Tivo menu, either because they are too small or even worse, if its live TV and watching a sports event.
The interface could be faster, but then again, the Moto box was pretty slow to begin with.

Michael, hit the pause button - on the pre-release software I played with, I believe it worked even within the menus.

Yeah, pause does work — I just really have many more scenarios where I’d like the behavior of standard Tivo better — I know its a “feature” may people like, I just personally don’t.
