Stephen Mack has alerted me to the fact that TiVo and Amazon have partnered up to offer twenty classic movies for FREE via the Amazon Unbox on TiVo service. Some of the movies are available as a free rental (they will expire twenty four hours after you start watching them) whereas, others you keep in your library and watch as many times as you want to.
- Charade (1963)
- His Girl Friday (1940)
- Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (1990)
- My Man Godfrey (1936)
- Penny Serenade (1941)
- House on Haunted Hill (1959)
- The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1919)
- Vampyr (1932)
- Laurel and Hardy: Lost Films Volume 4 (1925, 1928, 1929, 1936)
- 8 1/2 (1964) — Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film
- The Mark of Zorro (1920)
- The Battleship Potemkin (1969)
- Nosferatu (1922, silent)
- Chaplin Mutuals: Behind The Screen (1917, silent)
- Suddenly! (1954)
- The Snows of Kilimanjaro (1952)
- The Iceman Cometh (1960)

Something weird is up with your style sheet – in Firefox I’m no longer getting the white background, so everything has the gray background, which obscures some of the text.

why is amazon unbox asking for visa # if those are free ??
The way their system is setup you need an Unbox purchase account to order *anything*, including free downloads. And to have that you must provide a credit card. They don’t have a way to provide an account without payment credentials.
Thanks for letting me know. I’ll take a look into ASAP. Are other people experiencing this issue?

Is the free classic movies still any good? When I click on the links for the movies none of them come up as free.
Sorry, the special sale ended Sunday night.
