I have 2 hard-wired Tivos. Transferring has been flawless for over 2 years. Now, on DVR1, DVR2 periodically disappears from the Now Playing list. However, DVR1 is on DVR2's list and can transfer fine. If I reboot DVR1, DVR2 shows up on the list fine. After a day or so, poof, DVR2 is gone again. THIS WAS WORKING PERFECTLY FOR YEARS! I also notice that scrolling on another DVRs Now Playing list is awfully slow now. When you scroll past 1 page, you have to wait several seconds to get to the next page. THIS WAS WORKING PERFECTLY FOR YEARS! Did TiVo backfill all their Developer positions with Entry Level new grads, or what!

I have 3 TiVos on a hard wired network and since the Fall upgrade, the transfers are erratic at best. I called Customer Service and they suggested restarts of the units and the modem. Nothing is fixed and I am calling Tivo suport again to get the problem corrected. Customer Service DID acknowledge that there WAS a problem with some networks, since the Fall update.
I have 2 tivo s2 machines. Since the fall 2007 update transferring shows from one tivo to another is hit and miss sometimes I can see the other tivo and sometimes I can't, this was not an issue before the update and nothing else on my network has changed. Also deleting shows works half the time. If the programming depo at tivo can read, read this "STOP BREAKING STUFF AND FIX THE PROBLEM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!"

I too have a series 2 tivo and experiencing the same problem with DVD conversions not playing video, but I can hear the audio. The is the main reason I use the media server. It's probably the best feature of Tivo! If they disabled this I would cancel my service--it's that critical.

I have a series 2 tivo, I use tivo server on my network to stream dvd's that I have converted into mpeg-2 and watch on anyone of my tivo's, so far this has worked great. Since the update, I no longer get video from my mpegs, just audio. Does anyone else have this issue and how do I fix it?

I am also having significant issues with both my Dual Tuner Tivo and 80 Humax with built-in DVD burner. Both cannot communicate with each other anymore, both cannot delete certain programs, both are much slower with responding to everything (especially trying to record a show), the graphics do not look any better at all, and i am fearing that my tivo experience that i have loved so much may be over...unless they get the bugs out and re-submit new software. Why fix what is not broken.

Once again the glorious update has broken my tivo and sent it into another round of endless restarts. Why does this keep happening. It is absurd. Do they have mental patients for a testing staff??? Last year after the new update my tivo screwed up and now here I am again with a craptastic fall update. Just great tivo thanks a lot.

I just got the update to my Tivo. Now every time I change the channel the video and sound skips and I am waiting about 3 seconds before I can watch the new channel. Quite frustrating.

Ever since the 9.1 update, my Tivo has never worked without freezing or stuttering. This includes both old and new shows that I've recorded pre and post upgrade. What happened??? What I've come to love and cherish is now horribly broken. I've followed tips on the blogs - run a Kickstart 58, recycled my Tivo, and all to no avail. Tivo, how could you do this to us??? I never asked for this buggy upgrade. Take me back to my former life. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this?

I note the same problem DrBowzer notes. I have 27 screens of Wishlist entries. A screen can hold 10 items. The first screen holds 8 because of the headers on that page.

When I am on any arbitrary screen after the second screen, if I look at a Wishlist (item line N on screens after the first) and then return to the full list, I am returned to item N in the entire list.

For example, if the screen I am on is screen 4 and I look at the entry on line 5 of that screen, then a return to the full list takes me to item 5 in the full list.

If we think of the lists as arranged in two-dimensional arrays (e.g. WishList[SCREEN][LINE]), then perhaps the first index is not being preserved.

I just got the update and now my Wish List items are extremely hard to use. I have about 50 items on my Wish List and now if I scroll down and look at an item which starts with a W, view the upcoming events, when I return to the list I am not on the item I selected, but usually it will put me up in the As or Bs. Then I have to scroll back to the bottom of the list to look at another item. This worked properly before this update. I sure wish TiVo could get a team that had a testing procedure. This update was supposed to greatly enhance the Wish List, they sure messed it up!

Hey Guys & Gals,

I just got off the phone with TiVo Tech Support and they didn’t deny or confirm that the service update has a few bugs. My problem is that I can not view the recordings from my other Tivo that I have on a home network. My first Tivo has received the update this week while the other Tivo has yet to be updated. The tech added my other tivo to the priority list for the update. Hopefully this will fix my problem.

I got the update last night. Now 90% of my Now Playing list does not work. (Error Playing a Recording - the Tivo was not able to record this program because there was no video signal on the channel.) This is baloney, the recordings worked fine until the update. This affects only recordings from Dish, not from cable (?).
EVERY TIME they do an update I have some kind of problem. Why don't they allow me to NOT update if I don't want to? They have destroyed over 500 hours of programming, (2 month old TiVo dual tuner, upgraded, stored programming for book research) which I cannot seem to recover.
Updaters BEWARE.

Interesting. I already got the update, and I never signed up on the list (got it yesterday). I've been a lifetime member for at least 5 years, so maybe that's why I got it. The most noticeable difference are the new graphics -- very web 2.0 shiny button style. I like the change, though I wish they would make some real UI improvements.
