TiVo Adds Four New TiVo Cast Channels (Bleacher Bloggers, Weather Channel, Bride-O-Rama & Viropop)

Just a little while ago, Stephen Mack announced that TiVo has added four new channels (Bleacher Bloggers, Weather Channel, Bride-O-Rama & Viropop) to their growing list of TiVoCast content.

  • The Weather Channel — Twice each day, available for five different regions (National, Northeast, Midwest, Southern, and Western) you can now get an up-to-date weather report downloaded directly to your DVR.
  • Bride-o-Rama — “The first network of I Do’s and Don’ts for brides” with new episodes each Monday and Thursday.
  • Viropop — “The first network to treat the new environmental pop culture with a sense of irreverent fun” with new episodes every Wednesday.
  • Bleacher Bloggers — a network that brings all your bragging, belly-aching and blogtificating together in one place. Sports commentary every Tuesday and Friday.

As always, you can subscribe to these new shows by heading on over to TiVo’s website or by accessing the following menu on your DVR: TiVo Central –> Find Programs –> Download TV & Movies.

In my opinion, TiVo needs todo something about how they organize their TiVoCast channels. Now that there are 21 TiVoCast channels available, TiVo might want to consider organizing the channels into several categories so that it makes it easier to find what you are looking for.

In any case, I’m really excited by the fact that TiVo contines to add new TiVoCast channels. I think that I am going to subscribe to Bleacher Bloggers and the Weather Channel. How about you?

  1. For some reason, no matter which buttons I hit, my TiVo won’t allow me to download Bride-o-Rama. It has no problem with Break.com or the Players Network, but will freezes up, if I even stop on one a wedding show on the TLC channel.

I’m pretty sure you’re kidding, Davis, but in case you’re not, drop me a line and I’ll figure out why Bride-O-Rama’s not downloading for you.

  3. Scott says:

I agree, Tivo needs a better sorting order for Tivoccast stuff. I don’t want those dumped in with my tv recordings, I wish they were all under a separate “Tivocast” category.
