TiVo’s latest rebate offer (PDF) allows you to get a Series 2 TiVo for next to nothing after rebate. The rebate is valid from July 29th to Sept. 8th and it allows you to receive $150 off of a Dual Tuner TiVo or $170 off a single tuner Series 2 TiVo. Thanks to this rebate, you can now get a dual-tuner 80 hr TiVo for $58.99 ($208.99 – $150) after rebate. A single tuner 80 hr. Series 2 TiVo will set you back $13.00 ($183.00 – $170).

If it were up to me, I would go with the dual-tuner TiVo. Having just one tuner makes it difficult to use your TiVo. With one tuner, you’re constantly having to decide which show to record. Get a dual-tuner TiVo! You’ll be happy you did it.
