TiVo has confirmed to me that eSATA support is slated for this fall and MRV/TTG are still under development for the Series3/HD platform.

Nice! TTG on my S3 is going to be sweet!

I'd like to retire my Series 2, since I only keep it around for TiVo To Go. I bought the S3 and transfered my lifetime subscription to it. So it would be nice to get the To Go feature on the S3 before my free year on the S2 runs out.

And I already have an "unofficial" eSATA drive on my S3. So how will Best Buy be an "exclusive" provider (unless it will be just TiVo branded drives).

BTW, I saw an S3 at my local Best Buy,first time at a brick-and-mortar retailer.

Now it would be nice if TiVo offered Lifetime transfers for the TiVo HD Lite so I can migrate my parents lifetime to it :-)

These are great and all, but until the CableCARD and SDV issue is resolved, I'll have to keep waiting. TWC in Austin is a mess.

The price drop is a great sign though. I'll be very happy if that happens.

Definitely good news all around. I'm still wishing for an HD TiVo for DISH Network, but I doubt that'll ever happen. Too bad cable sucks around here.

Not so surprising that TiVoToGo won't be enabled (at least right away) for HD content. Those files have to be massive! And of course there's also a lot more content protection to be dealt with in moving them around. Any word on multi-room viewing? That's what I definitely need.
