An Abbundance Of TiVo Ads
Is it just me or have you noticed an abundance of TiVo ads on the web? I hope TiVo’s latest marketing campaign pays off because I’ll bet it costs a lot of money.

According to the NY Times it clocks in at a cool $15 million.
Yeah, I see a lot of them. But keep in mind that a lot of these ads are targeted by companies like DoubleClick, Google, etc. I suspect I see more TiVo related ads because I visit mostly TiVo/DVR related websites - so my user behavior is tracked and they think I’m interested in TiVo, so they market to me. I am interested - but I don’t need the marketing.
I flush the tracking cookies periodically, and when I do it seems like I get more random ads for a while.
