I agree that videos transcoded by Tivo Desktop Plus look good on the ipod screen. However, when using the video output to watch on a TV screen, the Tico transcoded videos look much worse than videos downloaded directly from itunes. I have tried the “hack” from Dave Zatz’s website to increase the resolution of videos during the transcoding process, but still no avail.

Any thoughts? I would love to use an ipod dock to watch movies, etc. in room without my tivo. thanks…
