I got an update for my Series 3 Tivo the other day (maybe yesterday actually, so the 24-25th of April/2007), it was for a version of the 8.3 software as well. Actually, I also have a Series 2 (Humax DRT800) which got it's software update the same day as the Series 3 did (this was the one being offered on the Priority Request Sign Up). I didn't sign up for the Priority Request for the Series 2 this time (though I have done it 2 or 3 times in the past for that box), so it was just whenever they got around to downloading and installing it for me.

The Series 2 version number is: 8.3-01-2-595 (Humax DRT800, others will have different last 3 numbers which are first 3 of Tivo Service #).

The Series 3 version number is: 8.3.1.L1-01-2-648

You can see the slight difference in Software Version numbers (as this adds or changes things that are also Series 3 specific compared to the changes for the Series 2).
