TiVo Desktop 2.4 Preview Release
Sorry it has taken me so long to report on this however, I’ve been busy as of late playing around with my new MacBook. Anyways, TiVo has released a preview release of TiVo Desktop version 2.4. This release includes a number of new features including the ability to view your photos in high definition on a Series 3 TiVo. Version 2.4 also includes the ability to transcode other video formats into MPEG2 so that they can be viewed on your TiVo.
Transfer videos downloaded from the web to a TiVo® box and watch them on your TV. Popular video formats are automatically converted to TiVo video format during transfer.Note: Requires a TiVo Desktop Plus upgrade key. Supported video formats include .WMV (Windows Media), .MP4 and .M4V (MPEG-4, H.264). Videos that are protected with DRM are not supported. View photos and slideshows with enhanced clarity in HD quality on your Series3™ TiVo® box. The new photo feature automatically scales your jpeg formatted photos to 1280 x 720 resolution.Note: Does not require a TiVo Desktop Plus key.
2.4 is a preview release so you should install it with caution. Of course, you can always uninstall it if you have any problems with it.

As usual, it does not work with Vista. Any suggestions are appreciated.
