[...] The HD category search feature sounds an awful lot like the same feature which is supposed to be in Comcast TiVo boxes. [...]

This is great news and looks fantastic!!
I have two SD TiVo boxes but was looking to go HD. So I just got the Motorola DVR from Comcast and boy is it's interface the WORST thing I ever used. I would have gotten the Series 3 but even with the Horrible interface on the MOT box I decided the price made my decision for me.
I can't wait for the TiVo download to be out (Spring I think they said) and I am very happy to hear that I will still be able to record 2 shows at the same time.
One question is "When will I be able to move shows from one box to another" - When they get that done they will have a Perfect Product.

This is a dream come true. TiVo has been great, but when I went Hi-Def, there was no way I could afford a Series 3 and there's no way I could live without a DVR or Hi-Def. The end result was a craptacular Motorola DVR that got the job done, but the interface was seriously lacking. Finally, the best of both worlds...

Some unanswered questions though...

* The Series 3 can only one record 1 Hi-Def show at a time - will their software be able to record 2 Hi-Def shows at the same time, since the Motorola boxes can do this.
* Will I be able to transfer shows from my Motorola box to my PC? A standard TiVo?
* Will I be able to use the other network features like access my photos and music?
* Will my Tivo Wireless adapter work with it? (For transferring - updates should be handled as it currently is I would think.
* Will I be able to add another hard drive via FireWire, USB 2.0 or the SATA ports on the back?
