TiVo And CBS Team Up On Fantasy Football

TiVo and CBS have signed up for yet another partnership. This time they are going to serve up fantasy football content for all you crazy fantasy football fans.

Instead of having to get on the Internet with a computer, users will be able to manage their football teams, check up-to-the-minute statistics and scores or watch highlights, all with their TiVo remote control. They’ll also have access to team-related breaking news and CBS SportsLine videos, including pre-game analysis, player interviews and special fantasy football content.

This partnership looks to be pretty damn cool if you ask me. I’m not taking part in a fantasy football league this year but, this type of service would have definitely helped me last year or the year before.

I was really excited about this feature as my office has a CBS Sportsline Fantasy League. I also have a brand new (8/28) Series 2 TiVo with wireless home networking. So I logged into my sportsline account inside my TiVo and connected successfully to my league and voila!, all my information was there, correct player lineup and everything.

However, this pas Sunday, I went to check out my Game Center to see my latest scores and the scores displayed were not correct what so ever. My lineup was correct the person I was playing was correct, but that’s it. The scores weren’t evern remotely close. In fact, I think somehow it was pulling scores from Week 1.

I noticed on the bottom of the screen it said to push the “thumbs up” button to refresh scores. Well, after several tries on that I gave up and went online for updates. Not impressed. I guess there are still some bugs to work out there.

I would love to say this was a nice addition to Music, Photos and more…but unfortunately, It’s kinda been a waste of time - Of course I’ll be happy to revise my comment once it actually works.
