I’ve always thought it would be cool to try and watch the top 100 movies of all time. I’m not a big movie buff but for some reason I feel obligated to watch the top 100.
Being the big geek that I am, I decided to generate the following links (actually, my friend helped me do it) which will make it easier for me to schedule the top 100 up for recording. Pretty neat hunh (Digg here)?

Very cool! Nice work!!
All awesome movies. Two things to note though. (1) not a movie listed after 1996 on the list, so it’s a little dated (but still represents great cinema well). (2) “Birth of a Nation” (B&W and Silent), I’m not really sure why it deserves to be on the list simply because it glamorizes the KKK (no joke – read Wikipedia and IMDB Database http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0004972/). But I think it’s on the list simply because of it’s technical achievements for a film made during that time. And while I have a TIVO too (and I love my TIVO!), your best bet to find most of these great movies is to probably check out your local library if they carry VHS/DVDs. I found about 90+ of them at my city library. Either way, 95% all the movie listed here (IMHO) are WELL worth your time to hunt down and watch some time during your life. Highly recommended! Thanks for posting this. – Sonic
