What’s Up With TiVoToGo On The Mac?
Remember back in November ‘05 how TiVoPony said that we would have TiVoToGo for the Mac in mid ‘06?
Regarding the Macintosh…
Yes, we intend to support it, but not in the February release. Macintosh support for the new features announced today is planned for mid-2006.
Pony
Well, it’s mid ‘06 and there still isn’t TiVoToGo support on the Mac. Based on some pictures from CES we know that TiVo is developing this capability and that it’s not just vaporware.
What’s going on TiVo? Are you spending all your time working on the Series 3 TiVo? I’m sure there are a lot of people out there who would like to know what the status is…

I gave up on Tivo doing ANYTHING for Mac users a long, long time ago. If I want to move video to the Mac, I connect it directly.
I love the Tivo device itself, but the company can kiss my ass.

My guess is that the delay is somehow related to implementing DRM on the Mac. But that’s just idle speculation.

It’s non-existent. TiVo doesn’t care. They’ve been silent for months. I don’t expect them EVER to support it. If they prove me wrong, great.

They did say mid 06, then a few months later they said SUMMER 06 which I suppose could be considered the same thing except that is not 9/20, so it is certainly not “mid” anymore and as of tomorrow it is no longer summer either.
So, we need a new statement from them…right?
Wonder when we will hear something with an 07 in it.
