How My TiVo Is Setup
For anybody who cares, I’ve put together the following diagram which depicts how my TiVo is setup. This setup allows me to watch my TiVo from any room in the house. A
My current setup using the following devices/hardware:
- 140 hr. Series 2 TiVo
: This is the TiVo that I received from the referral program. Initally I had a 60 hr. TiVo however, I’ve since given that one to my mother.
- Linksys WRT54GS
(wireless router): I use this router for my laptop. All other devices have a wired connection.
- Linksys BEFSR41
- Linksys USB200M
: I use this adapter in for my TiVo. I use to use the Linksys WUSB11
however, when I was getting ready for TiVoToGo I decided to go with a wired connection.
- CrossbarMedia System (MediaCaster, IRCaster/Detector, CableCaster): The CrossbarMedia system is what allows me to watch TiVo from any room in my house. I’ve written a review about this system here & here.
