I am the owner of a TiVo upgrade business, Silicon Valley Upgrades. I charge $75 - $100 for the service, hard drives are extra. Buy your own, or let me buy it for you.

3 years ago I snagged a drive bracket from 9th tee and an 80gig drive for a then great price. I never got around to pulling the entertainment center out from the wall to disconnect the box. So I now have a 30hr series one and a pair of 40 hr DirecTivo units. Maybe some day I will complete the upgrade.

I would love to use this guide, but it looks like it is PC only. I think that I won't be able to upgrade my Tivo - not only do I not have a PC, I don't have an IDE interface in either of my Macs. Sad...so sad...I've heard great things about TivoTool for OS X.
