Interactive TiVo Upgrade Instructions
I found a great interactive TiVo upgrade site while browsing around del.icio.us. If you’ve ever considered upgrading but you didn’t know where to start, than you should definitely check out this site. The guide steps you through a couple of questions about your setup then at the end it gives you detailed instructions on what you will need and where to get it. Check it out if you haven’t already. I know I’m going to keep this bookmark handy!
I’ve considered upgrading my TiVo for a long time, however; I think I’m going to wait for the dual-tuner HD TiVo to come out before I spend more money on my current TiVo setup. How about you?

I would love to use this guide, but it looks like it is PC only. I think that I won’t be able to upgrade my Tivo - not only do I not have a PC, I don’t have an IDE interface in either of my Macs. Sad…so sad…I’ve heard great things about TivoTool for OS X.

3 years ago I snagged a drive bracket from 9th tee and an 80gig drive for a then great price. I never got around to pulling the entertainment center out from the wall to disconnect the box. So I now have a 30hr series one and a pair of 40 hr DirecTivo units. Maybe some day I will complete the upgrade.

I am the owner of a TiVo upgrade business, Silicon Valley Upgrades. I charge $75 - $100 for the service, hard drives are extra. Buy your own, or let me buy it for you.
