TiVo Desktop 2.2 & TiVo 7.2 released
MegaZone alerted me to the fact that TiVo has released version 2.2 of TiVoDesktop as well as version 7.2 of the TiVo software. According to PVRBlog, these software upgrades will allow you to stream TiVo recordings from your PC back to your TiVo. With this new feature, there really is no longer a need for a TiVo with a lot of storage. Here is the accompanying support article on TiVo.com. If you want to get 7.2 you can sign up here.
I plan on trying out this new feature as soon as I get the latest software. I’ll let you know what I think. I the meantime, drop me a comment if you’ve tried it out yourself.
