And… if you don’t want to do the lifetime thing, you can get the same (factory refurbished*) 40 hr TiVo by purchasing 12 months of service ($155.40). If it’s a second (or third, or fourth, or fifth) TiVo for your house, that actually equates to about 22 months of service (at the $6.95/mo multi-service rate).
*I got mine the other day and if I hadn’t already known it was a refurb, I wouldn’t be able to tell. It was packaged and looks like new.
