My TiVo Takes The Summer Off

Believe it or not, I don’t spend all of my time in front of the TV enjoying my TiVo. As a matter of fact, I haven’t been using TiVo that much lately. It looks as thought a lot of people are doing the same thing. Must have something to do with the nice weather we’ve been having in upstate New York ;). Does your TiVo usage change in the summer? I know that mine does.

you’re right about the warm weather in NY - I’m over in Buffalo - man is it hot!
hope my TiVo doesn’t overheat!

In the summer, my TiVo gets more ‘quality’ programs because I’m not watching the prime time crap the networks shove at you. Lots of Discovery Channel, TLC, and HGTV. Oh, and don’t forget Six Feet Under, though this is the last season for it. I do miss some of the summer shows that did so well that they’re now regular season shows, like Nip/Tuck. Regardless, I do watch a lot less television in the summer.

Come on, give me a break. It’s not as if there has been much TiVo news as of late. After all, if you have some original content you are more then welcome to help me out :).

[...] I wrote about this once before but I thought I would mention it again. Just like blogging, I haven’t been spending a lot of time using my TiVo. At most, my wife and I have been watching a half-hour of TV a night. That being said, I am extremely happy that I own a TiVo since I can watch what I want when I want to. During the summer months I tend to watch less TV because I am extremely busy with other things and because summer TV programming is boring in my opinion. Do you use your TiVo as much during the summer? [...]
