New Version of Tivo Software 7.1b
I just got version 7.1b of the Tivo software on my Series 2. It appears to fix an annoying problem I’ve been having with channel changes. Previously, when changing channels the video and audio would flicker in and out for up to 10 seconds. Now channel changing is quicker, and once the image appears, it is stable.

woah… i thought that problem was an indication of a problem with my tivo, i.e. the hard drive starting to have issues. i did notice my tivo had rebooted and things like menu switching have been much faster…

I just got the upgrade to 7.1 B last night. It killed my netgear wireless usb connection to my router. Cold booting and re-configuring the settings haven’t helped either.

Did you try unplugging the card and replugging it in? I don’t know why but that has worked for me before. Good luck!

I’ve tried all that to no avail. I’m thinking the upgrade changed the drivers for my netgear wg111, rendering it useless.
