Advertising on TiVo to Promote Discovery Cove

TiVo has signed another advertising deal with Discovery Cove, an Orlando, Florida park. TiVo seems to be doing well with this type of advertising.

I am somewhat surprised that more companies are not advertising with TiVo. After all, when was the last time you watched a commercial while using your TiVo. I am definitely more likely to watch one of TiVo’s advertisements then a regular ad that is shown during a show. What does everybody else think? Do you think that advertising on the TiVo is a good idea? Are you more likely to watch these TiVo ads?

I will probably watch about 75% of the ads that come onto my TiVo. This is compared to about about 1% of them that I watch that are in the middle of shows. Heck, I end up requesting more information from about 25% of the TiVo ads as well, so they’re getting the type of responses they need.

Jay, I could not agree with you any more. In fact, I requested that TiVo record the Royal Caribbean show when they had the Royal Caribbean advertisement. I think TiVo has done a great job as of late with their advertising!
