Is it possible to dowload shows on the hard drive to a DVD recorder linked to the TiVo? If so, is it a time consuming task? Was thinking about buying the new Humax 80-hour unit with DVD recorder and TiVo, but it’s a little steep at over $400.

To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure. This is something that I’ve never tried before. You may want to ask this question over at TiVoCommunity.com. The people over there are usually good about getting you an answer in a short amount of time. One thing to consider is that TiVoToGo should be coming out shortly. With TiVoToGo you will be able to record your shows to a DVD and potentially watch them in another device. Good luck!
