Updated: 10/02/2004: I’ve decided to move my review of the CrossBar MediaKit from my family website to this site. Click here for the complete review.
For the past month or so, I’ve spent some time looking into how I could share my TiVo with multiple rooms throughout my house. I didn’t want to have to buy another TiVo and pay the extra amount for the subscription.
My research ended when I found the CrossBar Media Kit. Check out my complete review of the product over at my family website or on CrossBar Media.

For the new after rebate price of $99 for a TIVO standalone box,
think I just may spend my $$$ on TIVO.
You’ve got a point however; if you want to share it with a third tv then you have to purchase another TiVo…. Also, when I purchased the product, I don’t think TiVo had such great deals.
You can also get the LeapFrog wireless broadcast system. A friend of mine uses this to control and view his TiVo recordings from the living room (where his TiVo is) to his bedroom (where he has another TV). He says it works really well, though I heard previous generations of the Leapfrog had some fidelity problems and, because it uses the 2.4GHz spectrum, it can conflict with cordless phones and microwaves. But it’s cheap and probably worth a try.
Dave,
Thanks for the comment. I also tried the Leapfrog system however; I ran into the interferance problem that you already mentioned. Check out my review at my family website:
